Since 1997, Pegasus Special Riders, Inc. has been dedicated to changing lives through the power of equine-assisted activities. We believe that every child and adult with special needs deserves access to an activity that is not only therapeutic, but joyful — and we’ve built our program around exactly that.
Our facility offers a safe, supportive, and non-competitive environment where riders of all abilities can thrive. Through personalized sessions tailored to each rider’s abilities, meaningful interactions with horses allow genuine bonds to develop between person and animal. That connection is at the heart of everything we do.
Our Therapeutic Riding Program is designed to improve quality of life in meaningful ways. Through animal-assisted activities and interaction with horses, our riders experience real physical, emotional, and cognitive benefits that extend far beyond the arena.
None of this would be possible without our extraordinary team of volunteers, who show up every week to work directly with riders, care for our horses and facilities, support fundraising efforts, and keep our operations running smoothly. They are the backbone of our mission.
